Acting Coach

Elizabeth Monroe brings over two decades of experience in the acting industry to Thespian Arts Academy. A graduate of the Yale School of Drama, Elizabeth has coached actors who have graced both Broadway stages and Hollywood screens. Her expertise lies in Stanislavski techniques, focusing on emotional recall and character development. Elizabeth fosters a supportive environment where students can explore their emotional range and develop authentic performances. She teaches Introduction to Acting, Advanced Scene Study and Meisner Technique courses.

David Harding

Film & Theatre Director

David Harding is an award-winning director with a rich background in both film and theatre. He has directed numerous critically acclaimed productions, earning accolades for his innovative storytelling and compelling character portrayals. David's teaching style is known for its clarity, insight, and inspiring approach to the actor's craft. At Thespian Arts Academy, David leads the Acting for the Screen, Directing for the Stage and Advanced Film Production courses. He emphasizes practical exercises and real-world scenarios to prepare students for the demands of the industry.

Maria Rodriguez

Voice & Movement Coach

Maria Rodriguez is a highly sought-after voice and movement coach with extensive experience in helping actors refine their physical and vocal presence. Maria holds a Master's degree in Performing Arts from NYU. Maria has worked with actors in Broadway musicals, Off-Broadway plays, and independent films. Her classes focus on breath control, vocal projection, and physical awareness, empowering actors to command the stage with confidence and authority. Maria teaches Voice and Diction, Stage Combat and Movement for Actors.

James O'Connell

Improvisation & Comedy Instructor

James O'Connell is a celebrated comedian and improvisation expert. With years of experience performing and teaching improv, James brings a unique blend of humor and technique to Thespian Arts Academy. He has worked with renowned comedy troupes and has trained aspiring comedians who have gone on to achieve success in stand-up and sketch comedy. James's classes focus on spontaneity, character creation, and comedic timing, helping students unlock their inner comedian. He teaches Improvisation, Comedy for Actors and Sketch Writing.

Sophia Dubois

Classical Acting Specialist

Sophia Dubois is a specialist in classical acting techniques. With a deep understanding of Shakespeare, Chekhov, and other classic playwrights, Sophia guides students in mastering the art of interpreting and performing classical texts. She is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. Her teaching emphasizes textual analysis, verse speaking, and character development, enabling actors to bring timeless characters to life with authenticity and passion. She teaches Shakespearean Acting, Classical Scene Study and History of Theatre.

Ben Carter

Audition Technique Guru

Ben Carter is Thespian Arts Academy's resident Audition Technique guru. With over 15 years of casting experience, Ben has an insider's perspective on what casting directors are looking for. He teaches students how to make a lasting impression in the audition room, focusing on monologue selection, cold reading, and on-camera auditions. Students rave about Ben's ability to transform their nerves into confidence. He teaches Audition Techniques, Cold Reading and Monologue Mastery.
